New Husky...Mitch MacMillian

It was recently announced that forward Mitch MacMillian has decommitted to Northeastern University and has committed to St. Cloud State University. Mitch spent the 2009-2010 season playing in the BCHL (British Columbia Hockey League) for the Alberni Valley Bulldogs. Mitch's younger brother Mark has already committed to UND. Last season Mitch put up what can only be described as INCREDIBLE numbers. In 59 games played, he scored 61 goals and 32 assists for 93 points. He also had 33 power-play goals and 13 game-winning goals. If he can put up numbers anything like those for St. Cloud, we most definitely should be a top 5 team in the nation this year. A couple of accolades:
  • Named the Coastal Conference Most Valuable Player
  • Led the BCHL in goals with 61 and paced all Coastal scorers with 93 points
  • First BCHL player since former WI Badger Kyle Turris to score 50 goals in 50 games or less
I hope to find out more about Mitch in the future, but in the meantime here are some videos about Mitch:

Welcome to SCSU and Husky Hockey Mitch!
